I would much rather be sitting down right now to a loooong blog post, sipping a cozy cup of cocoa, than what I am up to:
Measuring and mixing and baking.
And not because I want to.
But because I have to.
For an actual bake sale.
A last ditch attempt at keeping a very special program that I have been blessed to be a part of at work afloat.
It makes me sick to think that it has come down to this.
A bake sale.
And, don't get me wrong, I would shovel poop for pennies if pennies were what we needed to keep on keeping on...
I just wish we were valued at more than $1 for a pair of cookies.

I love your 'If the Truth be Told on a Tuesday' blogs. Makes me feel normal and less inadequate. Perhaps something I could consider for my blog, if I learnt how to blog quicker and more frequently. Love Shan xo
:-( That stinks.
I hate when it comes down to things like bake sales to pay for what used to be in the budget.
Good luck!
You're worth a heck of a lot more than a dollar or a pair of cookies. Even my sister's chocolate chip ones. I wish people who don't understand or value your program could see that. And Christine is right, it sucks when you have to hold a bake sale to pay for things that used to be in the budget. Love you lots.
Bummer, I do hope it goes well for you though.
Ugh. I'm so sorry. I hope you snuck a little dough for yourself :)
That's not fair! You should charge at LEAST $10 per brownie.
