Plans.

The past 36 hours have been a bit hectic.

Here is what we know:

Rubin had his visa interview in Korea TODAY (which was actually yesterday in Korea. But on today's date. There. You know what I mean.)

I am FLOORED, once again, by how quickly this whole process went. Like Christine and Doug, we got our TC before he even had his VI. What in the world?! Our baby is ready to come home.

We made our travel plans. It wasn't easy... SWS is closed on May 1st and May 5th, throwing a bit of a wrench in my plans.

And, unexpectedly, my mother-in-law (commonly referred to here as Nanny) has decided to join me as I travel...

And so, our flight has been booked. Next Friday afternoon I will fly out of Chicago with my mom AND my mother-in-law.

We will arrive in Seoul on Saturday afternoon.  Hopefully, we will meet my baby boy, and his foster family, on Monday.  Tuesday is Children's Day in Korea, and so the SWS offices will be closed.  I don't know for sure, yet, when we will get to have Rubin with us. I am assuming that it will happen on Wednesday... but I haven't heard back from our agency.

We are scheduled to return to Chicago on Thursday the 7th. We'll fly out of Seoul around noon, and arrive back stateside around 10am. The same day. I love that.

Rubin, your Mama and both of your Grandmas are on our way!! We can not wait to meet you, and bring you home.

More details to come, as soon as we know!

What a whirlwind tour. How lovely to have both grandmas with you. Yes, next Friday is a public holiday here too (Labour Day). I hope you have a lovely time. Take lots of pictures. Oh, and don't forget to breathe. It's so exciting. How much time will you have off for adoption leave when you return? xo

Yippee!!! Except for the part where we don't overlap here at all - that's not a "Yippee" at all - that's a "Booo!" ;-)

Keep us updated on the plans!
