Natural light... why is this so hard?!

I'm battling it out with my camera this weekend... Luckily, my first class is tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully, no one gets hurt before then.

On the adoption front, we mailed in our I-600A today!!!! Check!

such beautiful photos of the boys. i know natural light is the hardest....but i prefer it. the tenderness it allows the camera to capture...but certainly not ideal for active little ones. i end up with many blurry photos too. good luck in your class. i'm thinking about finding one too.

love you so much.

Once it's spring and you are outside you will be singing a different tune I swear! But yes, so hard!

The photos of the boys are beautiful though!!

They look great! I shoot exclusively without a flash, so I know your frustration! It will get easier though, I promise! Try setting your camera on Av mode with a aperture of about 2.8. Seems to be easier when shooting inside during the winter!

thank you for the flattery, girls, and thank you for all of the suggestions. my class went so well today, and i'm anxious to put all of my new knowledge to use!! (i had to surrender my camera for a few days, however, because of dust on my sensor. i have not been changing my lens the right way!!!!!!!) aaar.

Emily, I have nothing to add about photographing in natural light...my husband is the photographer in our family! ;) but wanted to say thanks for all your sweet and understanding comments on my blog. We can't wait to bring our little guy home on Tues. I keep up with your blog and love your sincerity and your process. Can't wait to meet your little one soon! Thank you for faithfully reading. It warms my heart...Angie
