Family Pics

I have another action packed weekend ahead (Pierre W.O.W. at Camp Tekawitha), and I haven't finished writing about our last!

On Sunday, my cousin Mackenzie got married in Green Bay. I think it was the first time that my entire family (minus my brother's girlfriend's daughters, Ellie and Macy) were all together since Christmas! Of course, as I already posted, we took advantage of the opportunity to take a family photo for my parents' 2008 Christmas card. Last year, I photographed my parents with their 7 grandchildren for the first seasonal greeting card that they had sent out in many, many years.

We tried again, on Sunday. This year there are 8 grandchildren, which simply meant one more child to trick into, sitting still, looking at my lens. With a smiling face, nonetheless... Apparently, I'm not all that interesting.

This was the best that I could do. Needless to say, my mom and I decided that she'll use the photo of all of us instead. My parents with their 7 children, 4 children-in-law, and 8 grandchildren. Impressive, I think.

Oh, how I love having such a big family.

I savored the chance to snap shots of my siblings, my adorable nieces and nephews, wedding details, the grounds at the inn. How I'm looking forward to my next camera upgrade. I've been feeling pretty creative, and I think a more advanced piece of equipment might be a lot of fun.

Lastly, I can't help but share two final photos. As I was digging up the '07 Holiday photo, I came across this one of Emmett, taken exactly one year ago today!!! My, how he's grown!! My sweet, sweet baby boy (who is, by the way, on the mend, praise God.)
