This update is going to sound a little bit different than my last...
If I would have written over the weekend about Rubin, I would have remarked how much more he was smiling at all of us, how much he was laughing at his brothers, waving hello and good bye, and, occasionally saying "Appa!" toward his Papa.
I was beginning to feel like we managed to make our adjustment to being a family of five without any major glitches. Rubin had been sleeping really well for almost a week straight. He'd been eating well, napping pretty consistently... Nothing to complain about.
Enter the dreaded "Post Placement Sickness."
Ugh.
Along with it, "No Sleep."
Double Ugh.
My poor little guy has been pretty miserable for the last couple of days.
We all have, for different reasons, to be honest.
We're doing the best we can to just get through...
Hopefully, soon, I'll have more time (and energy) to write.
But right now...

Double Ugh is right. Lack of sleep and not feeling great makes all of this so, so much harder.
Here's hoping that the illness clears out soon and the sleeping comes back pronto!
In the meantime, just hang on tight...
Thinking of you. All the time. Hope it gets better soon.
Call me if you need me.
We had that sickness too... everyone in the house did. I attributed it to the fact that we were in that airplane with hundreds of other people breathing the same air... ugh!! Get outside, drink lots of fluids and you will feel much better!!
hang in there!
hope you guys are on the mend. Let me know if I can do anything to help.
Ugh is right. Hand in there. Sending our love from MA.
Dana's BFF - and fellow mom of 3 little boys (including a couple of redheads) - checking in and sending you some encouragement. It gets better - I promise!
Hi love.
Hope since it's been a few days things are getting better?
light at the end of the tunnel?
Hang in there sweetness.
I hope things are going better. We're thinking of you guys and can't wait to see you at the baptism.
So sorry it has hit your family. I hope by now things are improving. Thanks for the well wishes for Savannah.. it was a hard week.
You know, about a week after Asher had been home his blues hit hard. He was just plain sad. It was like he knew he was not going back. HIs sleeping was terrible. It took a couple weeks and he started to smile more and more. After the first month he was coming along. Now... exactly 2 months after we got home... he is doing wonderful.
Hang in there... it gets better.
Tracy
