And, speaking of steps...

Emmett walks!!

(And, he throws a pretty mean temper tantrum, too!!)

In all honesty, this is fairly old news. My baby has been taking steps for nearly two months now! However, crawling is still his preferred mode of transportation. When he doesn't have anywhere to go in too big of a hurry, you'll find him walking, purposefully, from here to there. But, when it comes to getting somewhere (ie, the dinner table, by Papa's side, into Mama's arms...) quickly, he's all hands and knees.

Emmett is so full of spunk. He loves everything about singing and dancing (video of some of his great moves to follow.) He loves to eat, he's getting better at sleep, and he loves to read and play games. I'm in awe daily when a new word comes out of his mouth. Just as was (and, still is!) his big brother, Emmett is increasingly polite with his "peas" and "tat-toos" (please and thank yous, for those of you not fluent in toddler-speak.)

Emmett has words for so many people and things: (I started making this list, and realized that it could take me an hour. Will add to it later!!)

Mama, Papa, Theo, Jessica, Mandy, Gramma, Grampa, Casey, car, doggie, Puddles, please and thank you, nose, eyes, yes, no, walk, milk, drink, apple...

I love these pictures. I can't believe how different Emmett looks in every new picture I see.

Well done Emmett! That walking gig is tough...Cushla much prefers the crawling and one or two steps is all she's up for and only with much cheering and fuss.
