A little whine, on Valentine's Day.

I woke up this morning to 3 extremely loud children and an over-tired husband who said,
"Now I understand why spiders eat their young..."

Emmett. Enough said.

I'm tired of winter.
Feeling cooped up.
Runny noses, constant coughs.
Dry skin.
Extra pounds.
A winter layer I just can't seem to kick,
no matter how hard I try.

Theo woke up with an inexplicable limp.
Go ahead and g*ogle "4 year old is limping"
and see what I came up with, to add to my worry.

My camera is still in the shop. I miss it terribly.
My house is a wreck. Constantly.
I can't keep up with the keep up.

I just found out that what I thought is with work maybe isn't.
Time to think about how things will change...

phewy. i'm sorry to hear your v-day was poopy.
how's theo's leg? Zeek had that one morning about a year ago, accompanied with pain. we took him to the ER. they couldn't figure anything out. they said it was probably a result of sleeping on it funny and growing pains. never happened again. hope he's feeling better.

I MISS YOUR CAMERA TOO! :) when is it coming home?

Oh, man. If it makes you feel better, I am super excited for your trip so that Ethan and I can play with the boys at Grandma's house! It sounds like your vacay is coming at just the right time. When you get back it will be (almost) spring.

Ugh...it certainly seems to come all at once sometimes.
When's that trip? Sounds like you need it soon! Change your screensaver to the beach and then hang in there til then...

Try being a pediatric nurse and have your child complain of a leg pain and/or limp. Totally ugly.
I read your comment about spiders eating their young and I burst out laughing--been there done that still experiencing that! I have my personal supply of ibuprofen and tylenol.
Winter blahs and cabin fever. The one thing that we know if going to happen is change--hopefully soon and with a great improvement in the weather.

Oh sweetie. Hugs hugs hugs. It always seems to hit at once and you have a LOT hitting... hang in there. And vent away if you need to. Wish I was there to help. Or numb the pain with a fabulous martini. :-/

On an up note, I love the new bloggy look!

Oh Emily. Hang in there. Your trip is in what, 6 days? I'm so tired of winter too. When you get back maybe we can get together and complain while the boys play.

Fingers crossed you get your camera soon. And I hope Theo is okay.

Love the new changes to your blog, especially the black & yellow fish.

It's amazing how much I can relate....the winter, the lbs, the work crap....I think what we all need is for spring to come, and a really stiff drink ;) [virtual hugs]

((HUGS)) to you. Just keep holding on to that vacation that's coming soon! It's definitely that time of year when you've had enough with the cold, enough with being stuck in side, and being sick.

Just think...vacation, vacation, vacation. ;)

Oh, man - whine away. It never rains but it pours. You need some wine with your whine! Sorry about the tough times. I'm hoping that tropical vacation is coming up soon! We miss your camera too ....

Sending you a giant HUG! Hopefully Theo is just experiencing "growing pains" and that your upcoming vacation will lift your spirits.

I am with everyone else - love the new blog design!

Sorry about your Valentine's Day.
:( I hope Theo is okay--I try to never google symptoms because it seems as if the worst case scenario always comes up, and I tend to be a *bit* on the paranoid side. Hope things look up for you soon--hang in there!

First off, I can't stop cracking up at your husband's comment about spiders! I just read it to my husband and he laughed out loud as hard as me!

I'm sorry you had a yucky day. This past month has kicked my butt a bit too. The sickness is finally gone, but now I'm starting "baby boot camp" as I'm calling it, with Noah's naps. Today was not a pretty day for either of us. :( And being stuck in the house so much hasn't helped. I hope this week is a better one for you and that Theo is ok. xoxo
