inner bliss? not so much...

amidst some inner strife this week,
i've been trying to focus on two thoughts.

first, the serenity prayer:
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things i can not change
the courage to change the things i can
and the wisdom to know the difference.

the second, words from a very wise old friend:
"the things we hold on to are the things that hold us back."

By letting it go it all gets done. The world is won by those who let it go. But when you try and try. The world is beyond the winning.
-- Lao Tzu

breathe. let go.

good quotes to remind me to not get so stuck on controlling my life and instead work with it. and with my kids instead of forcing them to be something they just simply aren't and instead enjoy them for what they are. somehow, in winter, it is harder to do that.

i hope your inner strife calms...

and adore that photo. love that you are in it too.

GREAT photo.
Thanks for the reminder to breathe.
Sometimes when I remember...I realize I really have been holding it in...for far too long.

Ah, I need to remember this during stressful times. Thanks for the words of wisdom:)

That picture is possibly my favorite picture of you. I love that you look calm and adorable during the time of craziness.
