So, Christine of 12,450 miles recently bestowed upon me the "Honest Scrap" Award (muchas gracias, Christine) and so, I have some work to do here, as a result.
First of all, I need to:
A. Choose 7 blogs that I find brilliant in content or design.
and then:
B. Show the 7 winners’ names and links on your blog, and leave a comment informing them that they have won the Honest Scrap award. [Like Christine, I'm not doing that part... if you are one of my nominees and you want to participate, take this ball and run. If you have other things that you'd prefer to blog about and time is of the essence, I completely understand.]
and so, without further ado, my 7:
2. goin' thrifty for your half pint
4. 24 list
5. I'm a Norbyah
C. List at least 10 honest things about yourself.
~I've never been on a roller coaster.
~I find myself thinking in Facebook status updates and seeing things as photographs.
~I take gummy vitamins for adults. (Thank you, Vitafu*sion for your multi-vitamin, Omega-3s and calcium. I haven't forgotten to take my vitamins once since I met you this summer.)
~I am afraid of becoming "that mom" of only boys who loses her fashion sense in her mid-forties and doesn't have any daughters to keep her in line.
~I've become so accustomed to going to bed without my husband that I actually have some difficulty falling asleep on his days off, when we get to "retire" at the same time.
~I don't like wine. No matter how hard I've tried. And I'm not a big fan of beer, either. I probably only drink alcohol 4 or 5 times each year.
~I'm most mean to the people who I love the most. When I'm frustrated or I've had a bad day, my husband usually feels it first when he bears the brunt of my grumpiness. It's something I'm constantly working on.
~I have a cleaning disorder. I'm working on that, too. I'm getting better at putting down my mop or my vacuum to play with my boys. I'm learning how to go to bed at night before every last match box car or animal figurine has found it's proper home. (Sometimes, now, I'm even throwing cars and animals in the same bin, which NEVER would have happened one year ago.)
~I've been saying "5 more pounds" for over a year now. I've lost it and gained it back a handful of times over the past 12 months. I am on the heavier end of the equation right now, and I've been working hard through running and yoga to get back down. The harder I work, the hungrier I get. Sigh.
~I officially begin my marathon training on September 20th. I never thought I would say this, but I can't wait.

Yippee for marathon training!!! Good luck. And I love the needing-a-daughter-to-help-keep-your-fashion-sense comment. :)
don't worry about the needing a daugher bit em....you've got sisters. mine keep me in line in a major way. they yanked me out of mommy fashion when michael was 6 months old. i was headed down a disastrous "mom jeans" path. and, you have me =-) xo okay, i'll play along with this game.
norbyah, remember that i'm one of the sisters and i'm not much help as all of my fashion comes from garage sales, thrift stores, or hand me downs. i've never seen emily looking anything close to frumpy.
#1 and #2 are true for me too. Your #6, however, I do not understand.... I LOVE wine, and I think life would be kinda sad without it. :)
Besides the gummy vites and husband thing, the line between you and me authoring this post is blurred to me. It's uncanny..............and really freaks me out! <3
I now understand why we are buddies. Although where are you when I am sitting on the bench while everyone else goes on the coaster?! I can agree with all except for the winething... I'm a big fan of wine. But I think you knew that! ;-) Oh, and the marathon training.
Since I saw your gummy vitamins, I am taking my horse pill vitamins again. I promised myself as soon as I finished the bottle, I would buy the gummy kind!
Ooh! I didn't know what I was going to blog about tonight! THANK YOU EMILY!
Thank you for the vitamin referral.
I got your back on the fashion thing too. I love that your Nike + Avatar has a korean flag on it. I am so proud of you for the MARATHON. It is going to rock your world girlfriend.
Love love love you.
I'm SO with you on not wanting to become "that" mom. You can spot them a mile away and sometimes I'll even test my theory by asking them about their grown children. 9 times out of 10...you guess it - boy mom. Please don't let that becomes us!
i am honored to be mentioned.
and thank you for your honesty. honesty is SO. GOOD. (i'm the same with with status updates and photos. eesh.)
