I was a little curious as to what was happening, since he's never referred to his bathroom, the bathroom that he shares with his brother, as "Emmett's."
"Oh, yes you can!" I said. "This isn't Emmett's bathroom, it's Theo AND Emmett's!"
He pulled me inside, and closed the door a bit, pointing to a ladybug on the ground. "I can't go potty in here with him, Mama!"
And, so, quickly, I disposed of said ladybug, with my 3 year olds' eyes pasted on me as I worked. "Where did he come from?" Theo asked me. I told him that I thought he had come in from the cold outside.
I was corrected, as Theo informed me, "No, Mama, he came here from Africa."

At Nanny and Grampy's house on Saturday night, we were talking about Rubin. Theo confirmed with his grandmother, "Rubin is in Korea, right?" My mother-in-law and I were quick to agree with him when he said, "Well, where is Rubin's Mama?" I told Theo that I am Rubin's mother, and he asked me in return, after a minute of silent contemplation, "Well, why?"

We were eating dinner early last week with a photo of Rubin propped up on our kitchen table. Theo surprised me by addressing Rubin directly, telling him, "We have Elefun, Rubin, and you can play it with us!"
I love that he's anxious to share his favorite game with his youngest brother. And, by the way it sounds like Rubin is growing, he'll probably be ready to play it when he comes home!!!

Oh. Kids. Melt you every time!
These are such great snapshots into his thoughts and feelings...it is just so special to remember and cherish THEIR preparations for Rubin as well. Very special...
Love that you're keeping records of all of this. What an amazing time.
What a sweet, sweet boy!
How did I miss this?! So, so sweet!
