how far we've come...

...i just want to add one more photo from erin's wedding.

this one is of erin and i, and another of erin's bridesmaids, kari. the three of us went to high school together and were, for the most part, inseparable.

on july 30th of 1995, erin started a journal for the three of us to share. it's opening page read, "i guess i'm starting this book for the 3 of us~ kari, em, & me... just to write down whatever it may be that we feel like writing... only a few limitations: must be dated & signed, & please don't just go through some violent streak & write swear words on every page. (kari!)"

so, anyway, i guess i just added that, and this (kari's first entry, below) so that you, my readers, can get a little "flavor" for who this 3rd lady pictured below is. kari and i ended up at UW together, and we lived together for a couple of years, actually sharing a bedroom! that fact, coupled with time and distance, has caused some separation between us... but we fell back together again this past weekend, easily...

i think it's because we both love erin, so much. and, after so many years of not wanting to admit it, we really love one another, too.

"you have to forget about what other people say, when you're supposed to die, or when you're supposed to be loving. you have to forget about all these things. you have to go on and be crazy. craziness is like heaven."

~Kari, quoting Hendrix, August of 1995
